Independent UK mobile coverage and speed tools.
This site exists because of a gap we hit ourselves: every coverage checker tells you whether 5G reaches your address, but none of them estimate how fast it would actually be — or explain that a budget "piggyback" SIM is only as good as the host network it rides on.
Our tools combine three public data sources:
- Ofcom Connected Nations 2025 open data — real per-district coverage predictions for 5G and standalone 5G ("5G+") on each UK network. Contains Ofcom data © Ofcom, licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
- postcodes.io — open UK postcode geocoding.
- Published independent network performance measurements, used to calibrate speed bands per operator.
Speed figures are modelled estimates, not measurements — treat them as a realistic range, and test with a PAYG SIM before committing to a contract. We separate indoor and outdoor estimates because mid-band 5G loses a large share of its speed through walls, and the indoor number is what a home broadband router actually delivers.
How this site makes money
Some outbound links to mobile networks are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence the estimates or the ranking of networks — those come from the data alone. Pages containing affiliate links say so.
